Andy Hibbert honed his teaching skills at a range of educational institutions throughout his career. Beginning in Leicester, it took him to both Egypt and Saudi Arabia, before returning to England to take up a challenging but rewarding post as Head of Boys PE at North Westminster Community School.
Andy became a Senior Teaching Fellow here at the University of Bath in April 2004.
In 2013, Andy was appointed Chef de Mission for the Great British Team at that summer’s World University Games in Kazan, Russia. He was responsible for creating a top quality performance environment for all members of the British team, successfully bringing home 6 medals, including 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronzes.
Andy has been a consultant to British Olympic Association Education Department and has worked in various guises at 5 Olympic Games. In 2002 he was the media liaison officer for squash at the Manchester Commonwealth Games, and in 2005 joined the management team for the British football squad at the World University Games in Izmir.
Andy Hibbert was responsible for the provision of academic programmes within the Department in his role as Senior Teaching Fellow. In particular he lead the PGCE in PE, developing future teachers of Physical Education.
