Dave Sammel Team Bath-MCTA Head Coach said ‘Mel showed she can really compete with the big-named players today. She should take confidence from this performance and learn from the experience’

Team Bath Director of Tennis Barry Scollo was pleased that two of his top female players, South and Samantha Murray, had made it into the main draw at the Aegon Classic at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Priory Club.

Samantha Murray has been one of the Team Bath-MCTA Academy’s success stories. Since arriving in Bath from a stay at an American University, she rose from being unranked to world no. 350 in the 2010-2011 season.
