Another great win for the Team Bath Buccaneers ladies 1st team against Bristol university resulting in a 8-0 win.

From the start of the match, Buccs went out strong and scored a early goal from a short corner which was struck by Rosie Bennett from the top of the D and led to a deflection from the injector Jess Rickman.

Bristol faught back hard but couldn’t hold Buccs back for long. Jess Rickman dribbled through the Bristol mid field to give a short accurate pass to Rebekah Walker who was unmarked at the D and shot to lead to the second Buccs goal.

Buccs continued to keep a solid defence and well protected mid field. Another attack from mid field allowed Rebekah Walker to trap the ball at the top of the D and get away a shot which gave Buccs a 3-0 lead.

A quick break from the Buccs defence gave to opportunity from Susie Barnes to attack the right hand side of the pitch where she crossed the ball into the D for a well position Irena Molloy to deflect the ball into the back of the net.

A confident first half for Buccs kept the teams spirits high although the goals didn’t stop there.

Soon as the second half whistle went Bristol upped their game and were determined to give Buccs a challenging second half the Buccs defence remained solid and soon into the half Buccs midfield and forwardssapplied more pressure with some great link up play between Vicky Warner and Emma White and Rebekah Walker and Susie Barnes resulting in a further four goals by Rebekah Walker Jess Rickman and Helen Devereux.

Team Bath Buccs now face Cheltenham at home next weekend University of Bath, Sports Training Village.
