Team Bath Swimming
Sara started rowing in 2010 as an extra sport alongside Team Bath performance swimming but it soon became her main sport after attending a GB development sculling camp in Caversham. She was then accepted on to the GB Rowing Team Start programme at the University of Bath in June 2012.
She achieved notable success in the early stages of her rowing career, finishing second in the women’s double scull at the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and reaching the Championship Final in the same class at that year’s BUCS Regatta.
After graduating from both the University of Bath and the Start programme, Sara continued her rowing career and enjoyed a major breakthrough in 2017 when she was invited to train with the senior GB Rowing Team squad at Caversham. She made her British debut in the women’s eight at the European Championships in Racice, finishing fourth, and went on to win silver and bronze at the World Cups in Poznan and Lucerne respectively. In September 2017, she was selected as a women’s sweep spare for the World Championships in Sarasota.
