Scott started the Talent ID scheme when it originally started.
He studying Outdoor Adventure at Wiltshire College Lackham.
Scott started Canoeing at the age of eight at Wiltshire Youth CC and started racing at regional races shortly after.
His coaching started when he was invited by Kevin Bowerbank to join his coaching group at Bath CC. Shortly after Kevin moved to Melksham & Wiltshire Youth CC.
Scott progressed through the lower Wild Water Racing Division and was promoted into Division A in late January on a flooded river Dart at 12 years old. A record that cannot now be beaten.
He has trained hard and has increased his training sessions in line with his development with the support at Bath making a huge difference.
Scott has competed internationally for the Junior GB Wild Water Racing team at both European and World Championship level currently ranked 22nd in the world at Junior level with two more years to go as a Junior paddler.
He is now putting down the base phase of his training in preparation for the World Championships in July 2013 in Loefer in Austria.
Scott has been selected for the Senior World Cup Team and was the overall winner of the British Championships for both Junior & Senior.
He was the overall National Champion at the Classic race distance which included junior & seniors again the youngest ever winner along the way he secured the U16 U18 and senior titles along with the U16 and U18 Sprint National Title.
To complete the year with another 16 year old paddler who won both the Junior & Senior C2 Classic Championships.
Scott was also the winner of the Melksham Extended Services Individual Sports Award for 2012.
