Score: TBB 3-5 Lydney

In this expected hard fought contest, Buccs started slowly and were not able to match the tempo set by the visitors who capitalised on this by taking full advantage of quick counter attacks and long ball play.
Lydney raced into a 3- 0 lead.
As Buccs came back into the game they had a series of good attacks and when Irena Molloy was poorly tackled in the D Rebekah Walker stepped up to take the resulting penalty stroke which she was unable to convert.
Almost immediately she regained the ball and was able to score from the top of the D with a reverse stick shot.
With the hallf time score 1-3 down Buccs were slow to start in the second half and a quick interception and counter attack led to an early second half goal for Lydney.
Within minutes a long corner was played into the D and the bouncing ball was put away on the half volley by Rebekah Walker to make the score 2-4.
After a good attack led by Emma White and in a similar situation Helen Earle made a break into the D and despite the goalkeeper making the save Rebekah Walker was able to slot the ball away on the far post to make the score 3-4.
With the game tightly balanced Buccs looked to pressurise Lydney who in a break out were able to win and convert a penalty corner to make the final score a 3-5 loss.
