Team Bath judo players missed out on the medals at the World University Games in Russia. In the women’s under-70kg class, Megan Fletcher just missed out on a quarter-final berth in Kazan when she lost her round of 16 contest to Cuba’s Onix Cortes Aldama. University of Bath graduate Michael Jamieson features on the shortlist for the British Universities sportsman of the year award. Jamieson, who has just graduated in Sports Performance, won silver in the 200m breaststroke at the London 2012 Olympics. Stephen joined as the University of Bath’s Director of Sport in February 2010. A former professional badminton player, Stephen won numerous Commonwealth, European and national titles in a career running from 1982 to 1990.
