Back to hockey is a low key way for Women to either take up or get back into hockey. It is a nationwide scheme franchised by the England Hockey Board.
Coaching sessions will be on Thursday evenings 7.15-8.45pm at the University of Bath Sports Training Village, under the guidance of Level 2 Coach Paul Atkins, for 12 weeks starting the 3 October.
Club Chair, Nick Kendall, says ” we have been running this scheme since its launch in October 2011 providing a fun hockey experience for around 70 women players. Squads for each programme have typically been around 12-15.
Some have stayed on the scheme all the way through whilst others have really caught the hockey bug and joined the club either as a training or full member. We are looking forward to see some familiar faces return alongside as many newcomers as possible.”
There will be a second series of sessions from February 2013.
