Date > Saturday 23 November 2013
Score > Yate 0-1 Team Bath Buccs
Venue > Yate Outdoor Sports Centre
This weekend Team Bath Buccs Ladies were away at Yate. Buccs started strongly, taking charge early on, pressing hard to keep the ball at the attacking end.
However on reaching the D Buccs weren’t as clinical as they can be, and despite a handful of short corners, the score remained at 0-0 at half time.
From start to end, Buccs were dominant in the second half. After a confident team talk at half time, they stepped up another gear and really increased their pace.
Their possession and pressure broke down the Yate defence and soon the team’s cohesive play paid off.
Quick, precise passing and a cross hit in by Susie Barnes was converted by a skilful Lucy Mcnaught to put the away-side ahead.
At 1-0 up Buccs continued to break through a strong Yate defence, and with high work-rate all over the pitch, Buccs were unlucky not to convert a few more. However, it was a brilliant performance by the team, who have plenty to take forward to the next game.
