Fixture > Plymouth Marjon v Team Bath Buccaneers, West Womens League Premier Division

Date > Saturday 11 January

Score > 2-3

After a long Christmas break and plenty of Mince pies, Team Bath Buccaneers stepped out on the Plymouth pitch with some wavering confidence as they found their feet on unfamiliar turf.

It seemed Plymouth used the home game to their advantage, tucking away a goal from a short corner, despite Pippa Barnes putting her body on the line. Not Long after Plymouth managed to scrape through Buccs defence scoring again to make the half time result 2-0.

Buccs came back to show Plymouth they weren’t finished yet. they soon found themselves on the break where Liv Rendall managed to set up a great pass for Lara Williamson to throw in the back of the net, with about a 30 seconds passed Helen Earle put away the equaliser 2-2.

With some dangerous breaks from the Plymouth frontline, Buccs defence did well to secure the the play and covert a third this came from Lucy Mcnaught’s persistence and composure in front of goal – a simple lift over the goal keeper completed the game with a end score of 3-2 to Team Bath Buccaneers.

Man of the match goes to Lucy Mcnaught.
