As part of the same Bath Rugby youth intake as Max Maidment, front-rower Tom Dunn has made good progress in his fledgling career.

In the 2012-2013 season, Tom Dunn’s impressive performances at loose-head prop for Bath United persuaded Bath Rugby forwards coach Neal Hatley that he had the skills to step up the first team – and make the switch to hooker.

Tom made his Bath Rugby debut as a substitute in a 67-11 defeat of Italian side Calvisano in December 2012. He had been drafted into the squad in response to an injury crisis in the front row.

Currently studying at the University of Bath, he turned out for England Students for the first time in the 2012-2013 season in a narrow 22-18 loss to France Universities in Richmond – only a month after making his first start for Bath Rugby’s senior squad.
