BBC talk to Team Bath tennis

28 January 2014

BBC sports reporter Jonathan Legard and the broadcasting corporation’s cameras were given access to Team Bath tennis coaches and players recently when they came to the Sports Training Village to film.

Recording a segment for the Business of Tennis reports shown on BBC News, Jonathan spent time talking to Team Bath-MCTA athlete and 2012 UK under-18 champion, Scott Clayton, to find out just how tough it is to make ends meet as a young tennis player.

Scott has recently been hitting with Novak Djokovic, serving as his practice partner at the World Tour Finals in December 2013. Inspired by the Serb, Scott now wants to face him for real.

Also on screen were his coach and house-mate Jamie Feaver, a former tour professional and son of John Feaver who played for Great Britain in the Davis Cup, and Barry Scollo, Director of Tennis here at Team Bath.
