One of the rising stars of British Athletics, Cameron has enjoyed a record-breaking career while combining study and sport at the University of Bath.

He has won all four of the BUCS Championship 400m races he has contested so far – two indoor, two outdoor – since moving from his native Guernsey to Bath in September 2015 to start a Sports Performance degree.

Cameron smashed the BUCS record in both of his gold-medal performances in 2017, a breakthrough year that saw him dip under 46 seconds for the first time and anchor the Great Britain 4x400m relay team to victory at the European U23 Championships.

A bronze medal at the British Championships also earned him a place in the GB relay squad for the London 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships. However, a hamstring injury sustained in the pre-event training camp in France denied him the chance to compete.

Cameron – supported by a Thompson Education Trust Sports Scholarship – has been selected to represent Guernsey at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
