Team Bath Buccaneers Ladies’s firsts secured an important 1-0 away win over Clifton 2nds.

Clifton applied pressure from the start and won a short corner within the first five minutes, but Bath cleared well.

After 10 minutes, Bath settled into the game and looked dangerous on the attack, earning some great chances at goal, but the side couldn’t covert the short corners they won.

Clifton pressured the Bath defence but great saves from man of the match, Kelly Bowden, kept the scoreline even.

Great play down the left hand side resulted in a cross from Steph Bannister to Victoria Suaven on the far post, who slotted it past the keeper, to put Bath ahead.

Clifton didn’t ease the pressure and Bath had to defend well against multiple consecutive short corners.

Nicky Wilson and keeper Bowden cleared well to keep Bath in the game til the final whistle. Final score 1-0 to an undefeated Bath.
