GB Luge’s national development squad adopts Bath as training base

The Great Britain luge team has become the latest Olympic Winter sport team to officially adopt the University of Bath as a training base. The University is today (Monday) announced as the training base for the GB Luge’s national development squad. Team Bath MCTA Academy player Jess Simpson came out on top in the battle of Bath at the Aegon GB Pro-Series tennis tournament at the University of Bath today (Monday). Simpson beat University of Bath Business Administration student Tash Starling in the opening round of women’s singles qualifying, but she had to do it the hard way, battling back after Starling won the first set before going on to take the contest 1-6 6-3 6-0....

Siobhan features on British Swimming’s Athlete of the Year shortlist

Talented teenager Siobhan Marie O’Connor has been named on the shortlist for British Swimming’s Athlete of the Year Award. O’Connor, who trains at the University of Bath at British Swimming’s National Training Centre Bath, features on a shortlist of five for the award. The 18-year-old has had a tremendous 2014, culminating in winning six medals, including a gold, swimming for England at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
