Work to modernise and upgrade the changing room environment across the Sports Training Village, as well as revamp the Physio and Sport Science Centre reception areas, is getting under way.
The next phase will be the opening out of the changing rooms along the corridor from the gym to the judo dojo. The plan is to create more flexible spaces with modern fixtures and fittings.
The work will start on Friday April 17th and, during this phase of the project, customer changing will be relocated to changing rooms 12-16.
These are situated along the walkway to the outdoor facilities on the lower level of the STV. Customers should follow the signage from the main reception, turn back on themselves and away from the gym once through the turnstiles, following the signs to the athletics facilities before turning right into the corridor marked “outdoor facilities”, grass pitches etc.
Changing rooms 12 & 13 will be for females, 15 & 16 for males.
On Wednesday 8th April, work began on revamping the reception areas of the Physio and Sport Science Centre.
Treatment rooms will be located downstairs in changing rooms 1, 2 & 3 and customers should sign in at the temporary reception desk at the main entrance to the overall Sports Training Village on the upper level.
Customers should then follow the signs for the main reception downstairs, turn back on themselves and away from the gym once through the turnstiles, following the signs to the athletics facilities before turning left into the corridor marked “Changing Rooms 1-9”.
We know that this work will cause some inconvenience but ask you to bear with us whilst everything progresses towards a better environment for everyone.
