Compete like a modern pentathlete at the STV during the 2015 European Championships
To celebrate the University of Bath hosting the 2015 European Modern Pentathlon Championships, Team Bath are teaming up with Pentathlon GB to offer a unique opportunity for young athletes to experience what it is like to take part in modern pentathlon events completely for free.
This unique day offers children in three age groups – U13, U15 and U17 – the chance to combine shooting and running in our Shoot & Run Team Relay event (Aug 18), or combine running and swimming in our Biathlon Challenge event (Aug 22).
Entries to either competition also provides participants and one accompanying adult complimentary admission to view the European Championships which take place following each event.
Combined Shoot & Run Team Relay Event – Aug 18
- Learn the basics of shooting in our laser orientation classes (optional)
- Compete side by side with a competition partner to achieve a combined team score
- Enjoy the European Championships following the event free of charge
Biathlon Challenge Event – Aug 22
- Run on our world class athletics track as used by Olympic athletes
- Swim in our newly refurbished London 2012 Legacy pool
- Enjoy the European Championships following the event free of charge
