Siobhan-Marie O’Connor’s stunning silver at the Aquatics Stadium last night earned University of Bath-based swimmers another medal in what is proving to be a fantastic Rio Olympic Games for Dave McNulty’s training group.
Tonight promises to bring further fireworks with silver medallists Siobhan and Jazz Carlin set to team up in the 4x200m freestyle relay event.
Andrew Willis will be looking to replicate his team-mates when he competes in the 200m breaststroke final after an impressive semi-final performance saw him post the second fastest time overall.

As it happened
12.05pm: Just as their heat was delayed by strong winds, so defending champions Helen Glover and Heather Stanning will have to wait for their semi-final after all rowing on Wednesday was cancelled.
3pm: Confirmation that Helen and Heather’s semi-final will now take place at 12.30pm BST on Thursday – again, depending on the weather in Rio. That means Vicky Thornley and Katherine Grainger’s women’s double scull final has been pushed back to 3.04pm BST on Thursday.
6.55pm: There’s to be no second final tonight for Siobhan-Marie O’Connor as the Team GB women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team finish fourth in their heat and ninth overall, narrowly missing out on progression. Siobhan-Marie swam the first leg.
