Live blog – Rio Olympic Games day 10

15 August 2016

Three much-anticipated athletics stars finally get their Rio Olympic Games underway tonight as Andrew Pozzi, Lawrence Clarke and Eilidh Doyle take to the track.

Hurdler Pozzi has been plagued by injury since pulling up during the heats at London 2012 with a hamstring problem. But since his return he has run impressively, securing victory at the British Championships with a personal best time.

In the same event (but a later heat), Clarke makes his second Olympic appearance. He will be looking to build on the fourth-placed finish he achieved in the final at London 2012.

Rounding off the night for athletes with University of Bath connections is Doyle who competes in the 400m hurdles event.

Doyle, nee Child, is a three-time British champion and will be making her second Olympic Games appearance.
