Live blog – Rio Olympic Games day 11

Focus remains on athletics on day 11, when Andrew Pozzi will be hoping to compete in his first Olympic Games final – and push for a medal.

Pozzi, coached by Malcolm Arnold, safely progressed through the heats in the early hours of Tuesday morning and will line up in the semi-finals along with Business MSc graduate Lawrence Clarke at 12.40am BST, looking to reach the final at 2.45am BST.

Eilidh Doyle also runs in her 400m hurdles semi-final at 1.10am BST and Jazmin Sawyers, the British long jump champion, makes her Olympic debut at 1.05am BST in the qualifiers.

This afternoon sees Sports Performance graduate Danny Talbot kick off his 200m campaign in heat one at 3.50pm BST.
