The Sports Performance student, an England U18 international, is part of the University squad for the new BUCS Super Rugby league and has also made two appearances for Bath Rugby’s 2nd XV so far this season, scoring a second-half try against Saracens Storm at The Rec on Monday.
In an interview with the Bath Chronicle, 18-year-old winger Davis said: “I’m a fresher, so I know I have to stake my claim here for the university.
“There’s room for opportunity with Bath but to get that opportunity you have to be doing your stuff.”
Davis helped the University win the Red Bull 7s title for a third successive year last month and was on the scoresheet during a dramatic victory over Cardiff Met in the final, played in front of 13,000 fans at half-time of Bath Rugby’s Premiership match against Worcester.
“It was an unreal experience and I’d like more of that,” he said. “When the final whistle went after we’d just scored the winner it was an unbelievable feeling.”
