South African international defender Zanele joined Team Bath in March 2018 as an injury replacement for Josie Janz-Dawson. She played for the SPAR Proteas at both the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Fluent in five languages, Zanele studied Human Movement Sciences at Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, where she also played her domestic netball.
She is the third South African to wear the famous Blue & Gold, following in the footsteps of international team-mates Karla Mostert and Lenize Potgieter.
