Watch West Country derby for free as Bath take on Exeter in BUCS Super Rugby tonight

08 November 2017

The Sports Training Village will play host to a big BUCS Super Rugby West Country derby tonight as the University of Bath men’s 1st XV take on Exeter in an eagerly-awaited contest.

There have been some memorable matches between the clubs over the years and tonight’s is shaping up to be a good one too, with the teams going into the contest on the back of contrasting results.

Bath, sponsored by IKON Construction and supported by Investigo, notched their first win of the season in dramatic style as Will Flinn’s last-kick conversion gave them a 27-26 success at Nottingham Trent on Friday.

Exeter, champions in 2016 and runners-up to Hartpury in 2017, will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering their first defeat of the season at Leeds Beckett last week.

Bath have made a couple of changes to the XV that started against Nottingham, with Alex Nisbet coming into the centres and Jake Allen starting on the wing. David da Costa replaces Kieran Verdon at tighthead prop and Mike Snook’s plays at open-side flanker with  Jack Davies at no.6.

The match kicks off at 6.30pm on the Sports Training Village athletics in-field and admission for spectators, as for all home matches, is free.
