Croatia’s Donna Vekic and Greece’s Maria Sakkari will join fellow world top-50 player Johanna Konta of Great Britain on the Team Bath Tennis courts for next month’s Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Zone Group I tie.

All eight nations contesting the event at the University of Bath Sports Training Village from February 6-9 have now named their teams for the first Fed Cup tie to be staged in Great Britain since 1993.

Vekic, who reached the fourth round at Wimbledon last year and is currently ranked 28 in the world, spearheads a Croatia team also featuring Jana Fett, Tena Lukas, Ana Konjuh and Darija Jurak.

Sakkari reached a career-high ranking of 29 in September and has an excellent record in Fed Cup competition, helping Greece gain back-to-back promotions from Group III to their current Group I status. She is joined in the team by Valentini Grammatikopoulou, Despina Papmichail and Anna Arkadianou.

Reigning Australian Open doubles champion Timea Babos leads a Hungary team that also includes Fanny Stollar, Anna Bondar, Reka-Luka Jani and Dalma Galfi.

Serbia’s team consists of world number 60 Aleksandra Krunic, Olga Danilovic, Ivana Jorovic and Nina Stojanovic, while Dalila Jakupovic, Kaja Juvan, Nina Potočnik and Andreja Klepač will fly the flag for Slovenia.

Ekaterine Gorgodze and Basak Eraydin lead the selections for Georgia and Turkey respectively.

Great Britain are the only nation to feature more than one world top-100 player, with Konta, Heather Watson and Katie Boulter all being named in the home team. They will be joined by Katie Swan and Harriet Dart.

The draw for the Fed Cup event in Bath will take place on Monday, January 14. Tickets are on sale now – click here for further information.
