The new kit – which includes training and travel wear, as well as performance kit – will be supplied by Under Armour’s Teamwear Partner, Dreamsport, and will be worn from the beginning of the 2019-20 season.
The University of Bath was named as the UK’s top sports university in the influential The Times & The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
The award is based on the quality of its world-class sporting facilities, the performance of its student sports teams and the ranking of its sports-related subjects, with Sports Science also topping the Guide’s ranking table for the subject.
Team Bath coaching and sports services support staff at the world-renowned £30million Sports Training Village on site will also wear Under Armour and there will be merchandising ranges for the public. The Sports Training Village receives 1.6 million visits each year from people who are active in sport and health-related activities.
Dreamsport Director Roderick Bradley said: “We are delighted to be working with University of Bath. It is clear that sport is a central part of the student experience at the University and we hope to contribute to this culture.”
Greg Sharp, Deputy Director of Sport at the University, added: “We are looking forward to teaming up with a global brand in Under Armour and being able to share best practice to benefit our wide range of activities and impact our complex sporting landscape.”
Andy Galloway, the Students’ Union Sport Officer, said: “Our partnership with Under Armour is exciting and I’m confident we have delivered what students hoped to see from this process, with quality of kit being a focus. We believe we will be working alongside a brand that our performance and recreational student-athletes will feel proud to be part of.”
