Join thousands of fans at The Rec tonight to cheer on Team Bath against Cardiff in Rengen-sponsored Anniversary Game

16 October 2019

The biggest night of the University of Bath student sporting calendar is here – the annual Anniversary Game BUCS Super Rugby match at The Rec.

Nearly 4,000 spectators have already registered for free tickets for the eagerly-awaited Rengen-sponsored game, which this year will see the Team Bath men’s 1st XV take on Cardiff University at the iconic city-centre home of Bath Rugby.

Doors open at 5.30pm and kick-off is 6.30pm. All are welcome to attend – students, alumni and members of the public – and people can register for free tickets by clicking here. Entry will also be available on the gate.

Team Bath are hoping that a big home crowd will roar them to a repeat of last year’s result, where a last-minute penalty sealed a thrilling 29-27 victory over Leeds Beckett.

It is the first opportunity for the boys in Blue & Gold to compete in their home city after three away games to start the 2019-20 BUCS Super Rugby season and they are determined to put on a show for the spectators.
