Sporting scholar Vicki McCabe honoured to be named in England Hockey U21 squad for 2021 Junior Women’s World Cup
University of Bath sporting scholar Vicki McCabe has been named in the England Hockey U21 squad for the 2021 Junior Women’s World Cup in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
It will be a first World Cup experience for the Sports Performance student, who is supported by an Ivor Powell Scholarship and part of the Great Britain Hockey Elite Development Programme (EDP).
McCabe, who helped England secure qualification for the tournament at the 2019 Junior EuroHockey Championships, plays for both the University’s student hockey team and Team Bath Buccaneers ladies 1st XI. She is joined in the U21 squad by former Buccs duo Olivia and Sophie Hamilton.

University of Bath Head Hockey Coach Jody Paul is also a member of the England Hockey coaching team for the World Cup, which is taking place in his native South Africa from 5-16 December. England have been drawn in Group B alongside Belgium, Canada and Uruguay.
