Get support, info and advice on doping-free sport during Clean Sport Week at the University of Bath from 23-27th May

20 May 2022

UK Anti-Doping’s Clean Sport Week starts on Monday 23rd May with education, anti-doping initiatives and championing of clean sport by sporting bodies across the UK, including the University of Bath.

As a UKAD Clean Sport accredited site, we will be supporting Clean Sport Week with a series of activities, webinars and social media activity designed to raise awareness of our ongoing commitment to doping-free sport.

The week runs from May 23-27 and the activities held will form part of Team Bath’s efforts to provide students, staff and coaches with essential anti-doping education and support.

The Clean Sport week theme for 2022 is What you see is 100% Me. 100% me is UKAD’s athlete education programme – what everyone wants to see from athletes performing on any stage is 100% hard work, determination and respect for the rules.

Athletes based at the Sports Training Village will be sharing their thoughts on clean sport and there will also be an outreach stand by the main entrance of the STV during the week. This will provide an opportunity for students, staff or members of the public to ask any questions and learn about key Clean Sport topics and strategies.

Additionally, one of Team Bath’s qualified UKAD educators will deliver an Anti-Doping workshop on Friday 27th May (11.15am-12.45pm), the final day of Clean Sport Week, with key info for any athletes or Athlete Support Personnel looking to increase their awareness and understand their responsibilities. The University of Bath is one of just a handful of higher-education institutions in the UK to be awarded UKAD [UK Anti-Doping] Clean Sport Elite Accreditation, recognising its commitment to promoting a clean sport ethos through its culture, policies and environment.

UKAD’s new e-learning platform has now launched, including an updated Introduction to Clean Sport course so all ASP should be retaking it to ensure they have all the latest information. Visit https://www.ukad.org.uk/cleansporthub to find out more.
