Team Bath name exciting match-day squad for big BUCS Super Rugby clash with Durham in Rengen-sponsored Anniversary Game

26 October 2022

The wait is over – today’s the day when BUCS Super Rugby returns to The Rec for the first time since 2019 as Team Bath take on Durham in the Rengen-sponsored Anniversary Game.

The hosts have named a strong starting XV for the big match (kick-off 6.30pm), which will be enjoyed by thousands of spectators at the home of Bath Rugby and watching live on YouTube.

As well as eight Bath Rugby Academy players, the Bath Building Society-sponsored men’s 1st XV also includes French 7s international Luca Mignot – the only player to have previously experienced the Anniversary Game, having been a try-scorer during the 52-25 win over Cardiff three years ago.

Tom Williams and Alfie Garside will once again co-captain a Team Bath side that also features Harlequins centre Ludo Kolade and rugby club chairman Tom Berry.

Among the Durham squad is another player familiar to The Rec, Will Parry who made his Premiership Rugby Cup debut for Bath Rugby against Bristol Bears last week alongside Team Bath replacement Murdoch Lock.

Free tickets for the match are available at teambath.com/Anniversary-Game and, if you can’t make it to The Rec, you can watch live coverage from 6.15pm on the following YouTube link.
