Italian job awaits Team Bath Tennis ace Alicia Barnett on French Open debut at Roland Garros
Team Bath Tennis player Alicia Barnett is scheduled to make her French Open debut on Wednesday when she takes to the famous clay courts at Roland Garros with doubles partner Olivia Nicholls.
Barnett, coached by Ian MacDonald at the Team Bath Sports Training Village, and Nicholls have been drawn against Italian duo Martina Trevisan and Jasmine Paolini in the first round in Paris.
The match will complete the Grand Slam collection for the British pairing, who have also appeared at Wimbledon, the US Open and Australian Open during the past 12 months as well as represent Great Britain twice in the Billie Jean King Cup.
