Enjoy a day in the life of a Team Bath Dual Career student-athlete and find out how we support pursuit of academic and sporting success

With the University of Bath’s Open Days 2023 taking place this week, what better time to give you a sneak peak behind the scenes into a day in the life of a Dual Career student-athlete?
Harry Jones has just completed his first year of studying Accounting and Finance at the University, where he also trains with the performance badminton squad led by head coach Peter Bush in the Team Bath Sports Training Village at the heart of campus.
Currently ranked 16 for men’s singles by Badminton England, Harry helped the University men’s team reach the BUCS National Championships final in his first season wearing the Blue & Gold.
He is supported in balancing his academic and sporting endeavours by the Team Bath Dual Career programme, which provides high-performing student-athletes with a package of support tailored to the needs and demands of their lifestyle.
In this video Harry walks us through his typical day, from breakfast in his student accommodation to studying in the library and lunch with friends before on-court training, sports massage and a gym session at the STV and a late-afternoon lecture – all without leaving the University’s compact campus…
