First senior Red Roses call-up for University of Bath student Gabriella Nigrelli as preparations begin for 2024 Guinness Women’s Six Nations

University of Bath student Gabriella Nigrelli has been named in the England Rugby Women’s training squad as preparations begin for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations in late March.
The back-row forward, who studies Civil and Architectural Engineering, is among six uncapped players in the 38-strong squad selected by Head Coach John Mitchell for the Red Roses’ first camp of 2024. Nigrelli has previously represented England at U20 level.
Joining the Bristol Bears Women player in the training squad are two University of Bath graduates – Rugby World Cup winner Natasha Hunt, who currently has 67 caps, and former Trendell Sporting Scholar Sydney Gregson, who has three. The backs play their club rugby for Gloucester-Hartpury and Saracens respectively.
The squad will meet up on Monday 22nd January for a three-day camp. The Roses begin their Six Nations campaign on Sunday 24th March against Italy in Parma.
