Child wins bronze in Beijing

University of Bath-based athlete Eilidh Child won a superb bronze medal in the 4x400m relay on the final day of the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China. Child, coached by Malcolm Arnold at the Sports Training Village, made up the Great Britain quartet along with Christine Ohuruogu, Anyika Onuora, and Seren Bundy-Davies. Judo player Ben Fletcher and British skeleton athlete Laura Deas are are our latest winners for January’s Team Bath athlete of the month awards. The awards, which are supported by REVO Eyewear and Ellis & Killpartrick, once again showcased the outstanding caliber of sporting talent at the University of Bath. Great Britain international Ben Fletcher struck gold during a successful weekend for Team Bath Judo Club at the African Open in Tunis, Tunisia.
