Biography:

Para-athlete Daphne, a pupil at Millfield School in Somerset, trains with Rob Ellchuk and James Hillier at the University of Bath and made her Commonwealth Games debut for Team England at Gold Coast 2018, finishing fifth in the T35 100m.

The teenager has already had a taste of international competition, bringing home one of four gold medals won by Great Britain at the 2015 Paralympic School Games in Brazil. She also won the T35 100m and 200m titles at that year’s CPISRA [Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association] World Games.

Daphne – whose potential was first spotted when she took part in a disability sports day – was selected to compete at the inaugural World Para-Athletics Junior Championships, staged in Notwil, Switzerland in 2017, where she finished just outside the medals in the T35-T38 100m.
