Biography >
Gemma started a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University at the beginning of the 2012-13 academic year.
That was just months after she had been named in the 14-strong Team GB judo team to compete at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where she made her Olympic debut competing in the under-63kg class.
Other achievements include Junior Europeans bronze in 2008, Junior Worlds bronze, U23 Europeans bronze in 2010, Korea World Cup silver in 2010, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix bronze followed by the Estonia and Romania World Cup golds in 2012.
Her time at the University of Bath was affected by injury but she is hoping to qualify for a second Olympic Games at Tokyo.
