Biography: John Jackson is one of Britain’s most successful bobsleigh drivers ever, having steered Team GB to a four-man bronze medal at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The crew originally finished fifth but were upgraded after two Russian crews were disqualified for doping violations.
The same crew of Joel Fearon, Stuart Benson and Bruce Tasker had also won silver at the 2014 European Championships, one of a host of international medals that Jackson claimed during an excellent career which saw him compete at seven World Championships and two Olympic Games. He retired from the sport in June 2016.
