Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebells

The Active IQ award in instructing kettlebells is at Level 2 on the regulated qualifications framework. It is also recognised by The Register for Exercise Professionals (REPs) at Level 2. The aim is to train learners, who already have knowledge and skills in fitness instruction, to a professionally competent level to plan and deliver safe and effective kettlebell exercises and training sessions.

Prerequisites Learners must hold:

  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness instructing (Gym/ETM);
  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in gym instructing.

Some experience of kettlebell training is useful.

Delegates must be at least 16 years old.

Qualification structure Delivered over 6 units, learners will complete:

  1. Planning a kettlebell exercise session;
  2. Instructing a kettlebell exercise session.
Assessment

Learner assessment records (Worksheets);

Session plan;

Practical Assessment;

Attendance for course content.

Delivery Methods Full-day completion: Theory study with practical study and worksheet completion at the University of Bath (dates below).
Progression Routes

Become part of Team Bath Alumni to have the opportunity to register for further continual Professional Development seminars at reduced rates.

This course provides progression onto other Level 3 qualification in Personal training as well as other related sector qualifications like sports massage. Wider career options can be discussed with your tutor once the course is completed.
