Joe Evans and University of Bath student Tom Toolis earned a top-ten finish for Pentathlon GB in the men’s relay on day two of the UIPM World Championships in Moscow, Russia. A scintillating time of 1:49.62 in the 200m freestyle swim gave the Brits an early lead but they dropped to sixth after 14 wins and 18 defeats in the fencing salle. Pentathlon GB has selected nine University of Bath-based athletes, including two current students and six graduates, for next week’s World Championships – the last qualifying event for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Italy provide golden start to European Championships at University of Bath

There was a good turnout of spectators at the University of Bath on Tuesday to see Italy win the first gold medal of the 2015 Modern Pentathlon European Championships. Tom Toolis is highest-placed Brit at Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final

University of Bath student Tom Toolis was the highest-ranked Pentathlon GB athlete at the weekend’s World Cup Final in Minsk, Belarus. Toolis, who is studying Sport & Exercise Science, overtook team-mate Jamie Cooke to finish 22nd overall on Saturday.
