Athletes of the month

Mark Foster

Mark Foster with medals.jpgSwimmer Mark Foster is our new athlete  of the month. Foster came back from retirement to win the 50m freestyle title at the British Championships, winning selection to compete at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the process. Beijing will be Foster's fifth Olympic Games and he will then be 38-year-old - a remarkable achievement by a remarkable swimmer.

Adele Modeste

Adele Modeste1.jpgNetballer Adele Modeste is our woman athlete of the month. The Sports Performance student was in outstanding form for the University of Bath team that won the 2007/8 British Universities Sports Association Championship. Adele was named player of the match in the final, when the University of Bath side ran out 66-46 winners over Loughborough University.
