The University team were made to work hard for their win but eventually came through with some excellent teamwork.

Trueman Sullivan, Peter Morallee, Paul John and Miles Davis scored tries with some accurate place kicking from Luke Giles and Chris Lewis contributing to Bath’s 27 points

Ian Thomas, captain on the day, said “It was physically a very hard match. We haven’t played together for five weeks and the hot weather and Walcot’s determination meant we had to work extra hard for our win.

“We’d like to thank Walcot RFC supporters for their hospitality throughout the day and the referee, who filled in at last minute so the game could take place.”
