Four Team Bath netballers and a further five University of Bath graduates have been named in England’s 14-strong netball squad to take on Jamaica.
The International Series in Jamaica is an important part of England’s preparations for the World Championships, which take place in Singapore in July. The team fly out to the Caribbean towards the end of April.
Pamela Cookey, a University of Bath Business Administration student and captain of TeamBath’s Fiat Superleague team, is England vice-captain for Jamaica.
She is joined by current Team Bath players Stacey Francis, a Sports Performance graduate, as well as Serena Guthrie and Eboni Beckford-Chambers.
University of Bath graduates Sara Bayman, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Tamsin Greenway and Lindsay Keable also feature in the squad.
Team Bath also supplies six members of the 12-strong England squad for the Netball Open tournament in Antrim, Northern Ireland from 15-17 April.
Team Bath Superleague players Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Gemma Fletcher, Stacey Francis Serena Guthrie and Asha Tett are joined by Netball Talent League player Kadeen Corbin.
They are joined by University of Bath graduates Rachel Dunn, Sasha Corbin and Lindsay Keable, as well as former TeamBath player Camilla Buchanan.
Meanwhile, University of Bath Biology student and Team Bath Superleague player Rosie Allison was in impressive form for England as they won the Netball Europe under-19 tournament in Wales at the weekend.
She was the leading scorer of the tournament with 95 goals from 104 attempts (91 per cent) as England achieved comprehensive wins over Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Team Bath’s Yamsin Parsons also featured for England.
Meanwhile Team Bath Netball Talent League players Lauren Brooks, Amelia Grigg, Lottie Richardson, Lucy Rickett and Flo Edwards featured for the England under-17s that won their Netball Europe tournament in Dublin.
