Team Bath looking for home support as they face Durham on first step to Twickenham – come and watch for free!

20 March 2019

Team Bath men’s 1st XV are hoping to have a big home crowd behind them when they take their first step on the Twickenham trail tonight as they host Durham in a BUCS Rugby Championship quarter-final (6.30pm, free entry).

The Fulkers-sponsored Blue & Gold, who are also supported by MJ Church, go into the knockout stages on the back of a strong finish to the BUCS Super Rugby league season which saw them win five on the bounce to finish a best-ever third overall.

The only opposition they were unable to beat during the regular season were Durham, so Team Bath know they will face a tough challenge as they look to set up a semi-final showdown against either Hartpury or Northumbria.

Team Bath welcome captain Tom Doughty back into the starting XV, while Santander Sporting Scholar Jack Davies – who was on the bench for Bath Rugby in their recent Premiership victory over Saracens – returns in the second row.

The only change in the backs to Team Bath’s last outing – a 19-5 win over Loughborough – sees Will Hughes start on the wing.

Admission to tonight’s match is free and it is the final home match of the season, so don’t miss out – come and back the boys in Blue & Gold!
