Sports Massage: Level 3 Diploma Intensive Training

This course is ideal for anyone who has experience working in healthcare, fitness or massage or for anyone who has studied Sport Science and health-related subjects at university.

The course covers 5 units:

  • Anatomy and physiology for sports massage;
  • Principles of health and fitness;
  • Principles on Injury and dysfunction;
  • Professional practice;
  • Sports massage treatments.

This course qualifies you to work with pre-diagnosed conditions providing maintenance massage. You will also be able to do events providing pre, inter and post-event massage

All theory is taught via distance learning using a digital manual and access to the University of Bath’s online learning resource Moodle.

The enrolment deadline is two weeks prior to the start of the course to enable you to read through the manual and begin your theory worksheets.

The practical elements of the course are taught in person at the University of Bath over eight days, daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm. The course is assessed on the final day with an observed maintenance, pre and post-event massage. Worksheet submission is due one week after the course. is completed.

Upon completion you will have a Level 3 Diploma is Sports Massage.
