One-day course Three-day course Outdoor first aid (one day)

Nuco Level 3/6 Emergency First Aid at Work (one day)

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide treatment in a prompt, safe and effective manner. The qualification is open to those over 14 years of age. However, only those over 16 can act as a sole first-aider within a workplace.

  • Assessed by MCQs and practical observation.
Course content

This qualification has been developed to meet the first aid training requirements outlined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The course includes:

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Resuscitation and AED awareness
  • Burns
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Anatomy
  • Choking
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Minor injuries
  • Epilepsy
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Bleeding control
  • Shock

Additional topics can be delivered on request, although delivery time may need to be extended.

Nuco Level 3/6 First Aid at Work (three days)

Who is this for?

This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course

The qualification is open to those over 14 years of age. However, only those over 16 can act as a sole first-aider within a workplace.

  • 18 guided learning hours (three days);
  • Valid for three years;
  • Certificate included;
  • Assessed by MCQs and practical observation.
Course content

This qualification has been developed to meet the first aid training requirements outlined by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The course includes:

  • Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
  • Control of bleeding
  • Poisoning
  • Asthma
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
  • Bandaging
  • Diabetes
  • Fractures and spinal injuries
  • Heart attacks
  • Choking
  • Stroke
  • Resuscitation and AED awareness
  • Head injuries
  • Eye injuries
  • Burns
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Sprains and strains
  • Chest injuries
  • Epilepsy

Nuco Level 3 Award in Emergency Outdoor First Aid (one day)

Who is this for?

This one-day qualification will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations in a prompt, safe and effective way, particularly where professional medical help is not immediately available.

The qualification is open to those over 14 years of age. However, only those over 16 can act as a sole first-aider within a workplace.
