The University of Bath has the UK’s only bobsleigh and skeleton push-start track and hosts the British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association.
Among the successful bobsleigh athletes who have trained here are Paula Walker and Rebekah Wilson, who won the 2011 World Junior Championships, and the British bobsleigh team of John Jackson, Stuart Benson, Bruce Tasker and Joel Fearon that was promoted to the bronze-medal position at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
Top UK facilities
Our 140m push-start track enables Britain’s bobsleigh athletes to hone their starts away from the ice. This unique training platform is coupled with the STV’s great sprinting, strength and conditioning and performance gym facilities.
Our sports complex also features a physiotherapy, sport science and sport medicine clinic.

Team Bath TV spoke to University of Bath students and Bobsleigh athletes Anna Holmes and Olly Biddulph about how training here, with the British Bobsleigh athletes, inspires them to achieve.
