Coaching

Rugby

The philosophy of the University of Bath’s rugby programme is to improve the ability of all players – no matter their ability – in order to help them meet their desired rugby goals.

Our team of coaches work closely with specific squads and players to ensure coaching is focused and best suited. Our touch, sevens, league and other rugby teams are coached by a cross-section of our main coaches.

The University’s performance coaching programme includes the help of strength and conditioning coaches and physiotherapy staff who provide support and advice for first and second team players throughout the season in order to maximise performance levels.

Many University of Bath students develop their coaching experience in the rugby programme with the assistance of our full-time coaches. Coaches with any experience can get involved in our coaching set-up, from running freshers’ teams to helping with our performance squads.
