Coaching and performance programme
The University of Bath’s performance football programme is typically made up of six 11-a-side teams (four men’s, two women’s), and three futsal teams (two men’s, one women’s).
Our teams train full-time during each term week, and the majority of squads benefit regularly from the Sports Training Village’s sport science, strength and conditioning and fitness testing centres designed to maximise performance levels.
The University’s football teams compete in the BUCS leagues, with the first team regularly competing in the South Premier division.
Our coaching philosophy is to develop the potential of players in all of our teams, regardless of ability.
Players enrolled on the programme will receive:
- Multiple technical sessions per week
- Strength and conditioning
- Fitness testing
- Training kit
- Competitive matches
- Match analysis
- Goalkeeping coaching
