Che Wilson – Head of Football

Title: Head of Football.

Date and place of birth: 1979, Ely.

Former professional footballer Che has been leading the football programme at the University of Bath since 2015.

The defender played more than 250 games in the Football League during a career that included spells at Norwich City, Bristol Rovers and Southend United, with whom he appeared in two Football League Trophy finals.

After retiring in 2007, Che studied for his coaching badges – he holds the UEFA A licence – completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Science at Anglia Ruskin University. He was head coach of Cambridge University for four seasons and also coached at Ipswich Town Academy under Roy Keane before completing a Masters degree at Loughborough University in Sports Biomechanics in August 2014.

Che joined the University of Bath as Head of Football the following January. He is also pursuing a part-time course in Sports Coaching at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
