Athlete parking permits
A limited number of parking permits are available to athletes within the Team Bath Student Performance Sport programme. These are allocated based on specific criteria and a formal application process.
Please review the information below carefully before applying.
Athlete parking permit criteria
To be considered for a parking permit, individuals will need to meet one or more of the following criteria:
- A Student Performance Sport athlete living off campus whose primary training venue is the Sports Training Village (STV) with training sessions starting before 8am.
- A Student Performance Support athlete whose primary training venue is not located at the STV.
- Athletes associated with a hosted National Governing Body (NGB).
A Student Performance Sport athlete meets one or more of the following definitions:
- Selected into one of the following Student Performance Sport Programmes: athletics, football (men’s), hockey, judo, netball, rugby (men’s), swimming, triathlon, tennis;
- In receipt of a Sports Scholarship;
- Part of the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS).
The above criteria are used as an indicative guide only. Meeting the criteria is not a guarantee that an application will be successful. Team Bath reserves the right to amend the criteria at any time.
Application process
Individuals must provide information and evidence detailing how they meet the criteria by completing this online form with:
- Personal details (name, student ID, contact information);
- Sport and/or NGB;
- Evidence showing how you meet the eligibility criteria;
- A supporting statement from your coach or NGB representative;
- Vehicle details.
Applications are reviewed once weekly, with submissions and supporting evidence assessed against the criteria. Individuals will be emailed the outcome of their applications following assessment.
If approved, vehicle details will be shared with the University of Bath’s Security Team, a permit will be activated for use, and approved applicants will be sent confirmation and guidance.
Please be aware
If you apply to purchase a parking permit, this must be paid in full as a single payment at the STV reception and access to STV facilities will be restricted until payment is received. If you park a vehicle on campus, you must comply with the regulations and conditions for parking (click here to view). Parking permits expire on 31st July annually. Please be aware the University is introducing Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras for parking enforcement from summer 2026.
