University of Bath trio win team gold for GB

Three University of Bath students have struck gold for Great Britain at modern pentathlon’s European Junior Championships in Portugal. Katy Burke, Freyja Prentice and Samantha Murray won the team gold at the championships in Golega yesterday (Thursday). Team Bath Buccaneers Jonny Kinder and George Farrant both featured in the England under-21 team that finished runners-up in hockey’s Junior Open Challenge in Poland. Samantha Murray produced a strong swim to soar up to joint sixth place after two disciplines. Her time of 2:10.95 was a personal best and was only bettered by Elodie Clouvel of France.
